Ananthrao Sitaram Govardhan is calling from Nartha village, Maregaon tehsil, Yavatmal district in Maharashtra. He says 21 of them had worked under NREGA in laying road but engineer harassed them and paid less wages. Despite of appealing to high authorities they didn’t get due wages and there was no enquiry. Ramashankar Prajapati is visiting Kharkaunitola village, Birpur panchayat, Jawa tehsil, Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh and says that villager Lavlesh Adivasi had reported on Swara on 25th June regarding broken hand pumps of the village and had appealed for help. Naresh Bunkar is visiting Nawalpur village, Piparkhuti panchayat, Lormi block, Mungeli district in Chhattisgarh and talking to villagers who tell him that they had worked in NREGA a year back and no wages were paid then they had reported on Swara. After that today some payment have been made but it is not full payment yet. They thank Swara listeners for putting pressure on officers and request for speedy payment of the rest. Ramesh Kasa is talking to Mesram Ramu of Ballanpur village, Narnur tehsil, Adilabad district in Telangana who says in Gondi that NREGA work was not getting carried out in their village and many went to city in search of work. They reported it on Swara on 28 January 2015 when CGNet Yatra team visited. Officials have responded after this and work began in April for about 80 villagers and wages are also paid. Shriram Yadav is calling from Godhana village in Chicholi block of Baitul district in Madhya Pradesh and says there was no road to their village and they have been struggling for it for ages. Then he reported on CGNet Swara around 10 months back and after that now problem has been solved. Construction work of road has been completed and work on bridge has begun.
