20 Baiga adivasis today walked 35 kms through hills to Kota in Bilaspur district in Chhattisgrh to ask about wages for NREGA work they did 6 months ago with some volunteers from Navrachna Samaj Sevi Sanstha. Rachna and Nayani are telling us from Gujarat about Kisan Swaraj Yatra which has started on 2nd October from Sabarmati Ashram. They say the message they want to pass on : किसान स्वराज यात्रा का संदेश, अपना बीज अपना देश ( Message of Kisan Swaraj Yatra: Our seeds, our nation). This Yatra will pass through 20 states in the country and would like to tell the farmers about bio farming. It will tell the farmers not to do chemical and bio technological farming. It harms us and our land. Today farmers are not saving their seeds and this way we will loose our independence in the hands of big companies. The yatra will culminate in a meeting in Rajghat in Delhi on 11th December
