ग्राम-करमोता, जिला-राजनांदगाँव (छत्तीसगढ़) से बिरोहिन बता रही है कि वे गांव में महिला समूह और एकता परिषद समूह के माध्यम से कोदो की खेती करती हैं, परंपरागत खेती में जो बीजें लुप्त होती जा रही है, उसे बचाने के लिए ज्यादा से ज्यादा फसल उगाते हैं, वहां पर खेती कम होती है, इसलिए वे लोगो को खेती के लिए प्रेरित करते है, वे 2 साल से अच्छी फसल उगा रहे हैं, ये शुगर की बीमारी में काम आता है, पहले लोग कोदो की खेती करते थे लेकिन आज हाइब्रिड खेती करते हैं, वे लोगो प्रेरित करते हैं जिससे अब लोग धीरे-धीरे समझ रहे हैं, और कोदो की खेती के लिए आगे आ रहे हैं, यदि उन्हें अच्छा दाम मिले तो बेच भी सकते हैं: संपर्क@9406436426.

Rani Durgavati martyrdom Day celebrated in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh

Govind Valko from Sarkheda village in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh is telling us that they celebrated martyrdom day of Rani Durgavati on 24th June. Adivasi people from 40 villages participated in the program where they talked about the sacrifices and bravery of Rani Durgavati. Women get together to stop liquor sale in village in Rajnandgaon

Bhan Sahu is telling story of a village near Ambagarh Chowki in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh where there were 15 families who used to make liquor for their living. But village headman and some women got together and have forced those families to not make liquor. They say now children have also started drinking in the village and those families should find other occupation rather than selling liquor. She tells about two women in the village who are forced to live with their parents due to drinking habit of their husbands

NREGA : Wages not paid from May 2010 in Rajnandgaon

Bhan Sahu is reporting from Atra village in Rajnandgaon where she speaks to a farmer Bir Singh Malekar who says we worked in NREGA in the month of May June last year and we have not been paid yet. We also did a hunger strike but the officials gave us a false promise. Thanks to non payment many from my village have migrated. Another batch is migrating this week. This is not only the story of my village. It is the story of whole panchayat and entire district. He also says it is said that the wage is Rs 100 but we get less after various deduction.
