NREGA: Delayed payment complaints to collector dont help
Bindeshwari Painkra and his colleagues help the people deal with the problems associated with the Government Employment guarantee scheme MNREGA. He refers to the recent award to Sarguja district for best performance in the implementation of MNREGA. With examples he says he has shown on CGNet that there are many cases of delayed payment, fudged muster roles, and corruption in sanctioning jobs. Quite often the promise of 100 days of employment guarantee is not met. Despite timely transfer of funds from the Centre to the State and the State to the district, the payments are often delayed. He wonders how bad things must be in other districts and pledges with his friends to continue to report lapses on CGNet regularly. For more he can be contacted at 7828972116
