Forest fire in my village but forest dept is not concerned

Pitbasu Bhoi from Gram Adhikar Manch in Pampapur village in Surguja district says that a forest fire has broken near his village. More than 10 members of their organization have got injured trying to fire fight but there is no trace of forest department and district authorities are also not concerned. He says this is the way the forest is getting finished. Last year also there was a fire and people from his organisation worked hard. Waiting for NREGA compensation for 2 years...

Pitbasu Bhoi from Surguja in Chhattisgarh says I worked for NREGA for 100 days in 2010 and was not paid and had to give a heavy price ( His son died in hospital while he was still running around to get his NREGA wages). Then he got the wages after it was raised in Swara and then in many newspapers but he is still waiting for compensation for late payment. Impact: Swara message delivers help to deceased laborers family

Pitbasu Bhoi a laborer from Surguja district in Chhattisgarh says I had reported about my friend who died in a hospital in capital Raipur and doctors were not releasing his body before producing Rs 30,000 more. After the Swara report some journalists reached hospital and that Rs 30,000 was waived off. I thank you all for helping that poor family. Hospital not releasing body of a laborer, need more money

A laborer Pitbasu Bhoi from Surguja in Chhattisgarh says a fellow laborer was sick and was admitted in a hospital in Ambikapur with his Smart card which government has issued to people living Below poverty line. He was sent to a hospital called MMI in Raipur where he died. His family members have deposited Rs 20,000 to the hospital. Swara beneficiary turns activist, finds others suffering alike

Pitbasu Bhoi is a laborer who got his wages for 100 days of wrok in NREGA last year only after he complained in Swara. Though he had lost his son before because he could not pay for his treatment. Today he travels in the villages to find out about situation of other laborers. Today he is visiting a village where he finds out that laborers have not got wages from last year and the officials do not fill the entry in their job cards.
