Rajendra Gupta from Tamnar, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh is talking to villagers who tell him that there was a big pond on Khasra no 299/1 and people from all nearby villages used it. But now the pond has dried up and a State Bank is running on the land. On record it is still shown as pond. Prakash Gupta is farmer from Surguja Chhattisgarh. Today he is sharing his experience about Wilt disease in his Tomato crop which destroyed it. He says he has not found any remedy for this disease yet. Some has suggested crop rotation and soil treatment. This disease is found in eggplant and pepper as well and desiccates entire farm very fast. Rajendra Gupta is calling from Tamnar village in Raigarh district, Chhattisgarh and says they have a power plant in the village but the village still suffers from endless power cuts which has made life difficult. The villagers have complained to officials but no action have been taken or assurance given. He says it is like living in ocean and not having any water.
