Poor kicked out of BPL list, rich gets in...!
Saraswati from Latehar district of Jharkhand says in her village many people who are poor do not have BPL card and many who are better off have them. She says the more surprising thing is recently some people who are poor their names have been removed from the list whereas people who have TV and motor cycles, there names have been added on the list. Many diseases in monsoon, people dependent on quacks
Dilip Jaiswal is telling about bad situation of health services in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh which has gone worse in monsoon. He interviews a woman who has walked long distance to get treatment for her relative. He says there are many patients mainly suffering from malaria and other diseases but they are dependent on quacks. Forest officials threaten to throw tribals out of forest land...
Shivrani Goswami from Kanker district of Chhattisgarh says there is a village called Narharpur where there are tribals and non tribals living on forest land from 1996. According to Forest Rights Act they applied for deeds of the land on 2008 but Govt has not responded yet. Now the forest department has dug their land for plantation.
