Law says if we don’t get payment within 15 days in NREGA then Govt will give us compensation but when I complained about it I only got the wages and no compensation. Collector also replied saying my wages have been paid. I applied in labour court but not much is moving there too. Today Reena Ramteke is helping us listen to songs and reports from Panna district in Madhya Pradesh in this latest edition of Bluetooth radio program in Hindi. Villagers use their mobile phones to record these songs and reports. They call 08050068000 to record. Now this program can be downloaded by people from their Gram Panchayat office if it has Broadband or from a download centre nearby. They can also get it from someone with smartphone and internet and then via bluetooth.

Reena Ramteke from Gariaband in Chhattisgarh says on 9th July I had send an interview on Swara with Kham Singh ji from village Dhiralaj where he had said that 42 of them have not got NREGA wages from one and half year. After that we got a call from Patrika newspaper and when the news was published officials came running and made payments to 14 people and said money has finished and they will be back within a week. Reena Ramteke from Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh is talking to Kham Singh a laborer who tells her that they worked uner NREGA in the month of February but have not got any wages. They first wrote to forest department where they had worked.
