Narmada Bachao Andolan leader Alok Agrawal is calling us from Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh where he is reporting on 3rd day of Jal Satyagraha movment of Omkareshwar dam displaced people on river Narmada. Courts have accepted that people from over 30 villages have not been rehabilitated and ordered that dam will not be filled unless rehabilitation is complete but govt is filling up the dam and people are standing on rising water with a vow of not moving. Forest dept gets adivasis arrested for protesting uprooting their standing crop...

My name is Alok Shukla. I am from Raipur in Chhattisgarh. I want to tell you abou an incident from Kukdur village in Pandaria block in Kawardha district. Forest dept few days back had destroyed standing crop of adivasis there to plant trees. Today after a notice when the adivasis tried to take the trees to Govt land they were arrested. This action is against the law as these adivasis were working on that land from 2001. You are requested to speak to authorities to stop this illegal act. Rally demands CBI enquiry of attack on activist Ramesh Agrawal

Alok Shukla from Chhattisgarh Bachao Andolan is telling us about a rally in Raipur yesterday demanding CBI enquiry into the attack of social activist Ramesh Agrawal. Mr Gond is living on forest land from 1960 but no land deed yet!

Ashok Singh Paigam from Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh is telling us the story of Kohram Say Gond an adivasi who is living on a forest land from 1960s. He has paid fines to forest department all these years. According to Forest Rights Act he should be getting the land deed but not only the officials ill treat him whenever he requests for the same, the forest department has burnt his house quite a few times. Expelling French nationals is an insult to culture of Bihar
