Subhash Gayali from Jharkhand is telling us about a regional meet about mining and land in Dhanad district. The main issue was the practices of BCCL which had the rights to mine upto 2005, however they continued and in 2006, 50 mine labourers lost their lives. Where the mining is finished also, the land has not been leveled for farming, nor is their any return of the land to the people, who want the authorities to take note and solve the long pending issues. Nazir Hussain from Ranchi says Jharkhand High Court on 25th January 2012 while hearing a Public Interest Litigation by Human Rights activist Gopinath Ghosh has ordered the state Govt to produce a list of people killed by naxals and security forces in 2 weeks.
