We carry sick on hand made structures, dont have water for drinking, irrigation

My name is Shankar. I am calling from Mamelagudem Village,Chinturu Mandal,Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh. In our village we dont have road. So in emerency we need to carry our sick by hand made structure to hospital. We don’t have water. People are falling sick by drinking mud water and we are dependent on rain for all our crops so our economic situation is very bad. Live report from rally demanding minimum wage of Rs 10,000 to all...

Brijesh Singh is reporting live from a rally of trade unions as part of their 2 days nationwide strike. He talks to leaders of the rally who tell him that they are demanding that no Govt worker should work without any renumeration as it is against labor laws. They are also demanding a minimum wage of Rs 10,000 and a pension of Rs 3,000 per month. Adivasi working on land from 20 years, Forest dept evicts, plants Jatropha...

Chandra Pratap Singh from Navrachna in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh is visiting a village called Sirhitti in Gourela block where he meets an adivasi farmer Mewalal who tells him though he was working on forest land from more than 20 years the forest department officials threw him out and planted Jatropha in 2007.
