He is talking to villagers who tell him that 35 of them are living there from before 2005 and have filled the claim form under Forest rights act but haven’t got lease. Forest dept is planting trees on their land. This was complained to officials but no one is paying attention. Naresh Bunkar has reached Sarbhoka in Podi Uproda block of Korba district in Chhattisgarh where village women tell him that 99 of them don’t have ration cards. They were disqualified 8 months back so are not getting subsidized food grains. Villagers are somehow surviving after working as daily wage laborer.
