Sanjay Sharma from Ambikapur in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh says when Pitbasu Bhoi who got his NREGA payment a year after (and after the death of his ) went to apply for compensation for late paymnet according to NREGA laws his application was not accepted by authorities. He says before people from the same village Pampapur applied for compensation when they did not get work 15 days after the application as per NREGA law, but that application was also not accepted. Sanjay Sharma from Surguja district in Chhattisgarh is reporting about a landless laborer Panditram who died while working for NREGA more than 2 months ago but his family is yet to get his complete wages. 40 year old Panditaram was head of the family and has left wife and 5 children behind who are making rounds of government offices to get the wages for the work their husband/father did in NREGA. Sanjay Sharma from Pampapur village in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh reports that some Below Poverty Live families got 25 kilo of subsidized ration last month instead of 35 in Public Distribution System ( PDS). Sanjay Sharma from Ambikapur wants to thank everyone for their efforts to get Pitbasu Bhoi his due NREGA wages. As it has been repoeted in the past that Pitbasu’s son Santosh died in hospital in want of blood when he was still looking for his wages of 100 days work. The payment was made on 20th January but Sanjay says according to NREGA laws if a paayment is delayed by more than a fortnight state government needs to pay compensation. There are thousands of scuh cases in Surguja where NREGA payments are delayed for many months which must change
