साना-बाना जोड के कपड़ा बनाया है-
सपनों के रंगों से उनको सजाया है-
मुझे क्यों कफन नहीं कि मेरे लिए काम नहीं-
रेल को बनाया है, मैंने सड़कों को बिछाया है-
हवा में उड़ाया है, चंदा से मिलाया है-
नाव को बनाया मैंने, पानी पे चलाया है-

शाहजहाँ के ताज को मैंने ही बनाया है-
मंदिरों को मस्जिदों को मैंने ही सजाया है-
बांसुरी-सितार को मादर को बजाया है-
कहाँ संगीत मेरे कि मेरे लिए काम नहीं...
