मेरे भारत की ऐसी तस्वीर बने
जिसमें वर्ण-विहीन, धर्म-विहीन समाज का हो निर्माण,
चारों तरफ़ खुशियाली हो, ना हो कोई अभिमान,
नारी की पूजा हो, करें मात-पिता का सब सम्मान,
मेरे भारत की ऐसी तस्वीर बने

एक बालक को देखा,
दुर्दशा में, फटे हुए वस्त्र, बाल बिखरे हुए
तेज़ धूप में पत्थर तोड़ता, अपने घर का भार लिए,
रोटी की खातिर बालक करता कठोर श्रम,
अवस्था उसकी 10 की है, फिर भी भार उठाता 20 का,
पिता की मृत्यु, माता की बीमारी, भाई-बहनों की परवरिश
उस पर करता है कठोर श्रम
एक बालक देखा,

Jogeshwar Oraon from Salaiyatand village in Chatra district in Jharkhand says in his adivasi Kuduk language that there are 25 Oraon families in his village but there is no school. Around 50 students need to go 5 kms to go to schol. There is a river in between and some children have almost died when there was more water during monsoons.
