Fluoride in drinking water in Daltongunj, people suffer...
A B Com student from Daltonganj in Jharkhand says in her area the only source of drinking water is Koel river and there is lots of fluoride in the water. Many people are suffering due to fluorosis caused by fluoride in water. Govt officials have visited the area after complaints but no alternative source of drinking water has been created. Dalit student beaten up by teacher for touching drinking water
Sarita Gautam from Allahabad says earlier this month on 3rd September in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh a Dalit student was beaten up by a teacher when he touched the drinking water. When I called up the Superitendent of Police and also the nearby police station they did not give me any proper reply. People forced to drink dirty and fluoride contaminated water

Maximum NREGA money should be spent on water conservation
Sanjay Sharma from Chhattisgarh says that the state Govt has decided to spend NREGA money in Mandi, School and Panchayat development as well. He says so far the state has spent maximum money in creation of village roads which is the last item on the list of works in the act. The state is spending very little money in the first item on the priority list that is water conservation which could benefit 80% population of the state most who is dependent on agriculture. Villgers suffering from lack of water, electricity and snake bites
