Charan Parte is calling from Naigava Raiyyat village, Mawai block, Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh and saying their Adivasi village doesn’t have a pukka connecting road. The 3 km distance to the main road is full of potholes and rocks, where it is difficult for even cycles to pass through. Officials have also faced trouble trying to reach inside and hence basic facilities like electricity and drinking water have remained unavailable. Laxman Singh Davar is calling from Athava village of Badi Begalgaon Panchayat, Sondwa block, Alirajpur district MP to report about a broken hand pump in a middle school with 500 students. With the hand pump broken for over a year, students need to walk across road to get water, which may lead to an accident. Written and in-person appeals to officials have yielded no response. He says the hand pump near the village school is broken and children are suffering. One more handpump in Mahuaripara( Uparpara) throws dirty red water which is not drinkable.
