Villagers demanding school from 3 years but no one listens
Mangal Kunjam from Dantewada in Chhattisgarh is interviewing deputy sarpanch of Hiroli village Sonaram Mandavi who is leading a delegation of 5 gram panchayats demanding a higher school in their area. Mr mandavi says there are around 100 children in the area who have completed education till class 8 but the nearest the highschool in Kirandul, NMDC is more than 15 kms away. Dalit student beaten up by teacher for touching drinking water
Sarita Gautam from Allahabad says earlier this month on 3rd September in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh a Dalit student was beaten up by a teacher when he touched the drinking water. When I called up the Superitendent of Police and also the nearby police station they did not give me any proper reply. In my village school we have 8 classes and 3 teachers...
Rajeev Ranjan from Bokaro district in Jharkhand says in his village there is a school which has 8 classes but has only 3 teachers. There are around 125 students who go to school mainly for Mid Day meal. The meal is also of bad quality. He says at one end Govt says we have a right to education but what will be the future of children coming out of these schools where teachers can not control their students. Students do not want to go to school in fear of beatings

Teacher uses students for sowing in his agriculture field!
