To protest lack of teachers people put a lock in the school
Barun Sunani from Nuapada district in Odisha is telling us about people putting up a lock in the school of Jogibal village from last 2 weeks demanding more teachers. In their school there are only 5 teachers for 197 students. Villagers say their children studying in different classes are forced to study under one teacher though according to Right to education act that should not be the case. No teacher has come to this school from last 5 months...
Khuturam Sunani is telling us today about a school where no teacher has turned up from last 5 months. Children spend their time playing. One para teacher used to come occassionally in last 2 years, but that has also now got stopped. The school was opened in 60s in this village of 60 adivasi families. No girl has passed class 5, no boy has passed matrick. People have complained to officers but they use the alibi of Naxal fear. For more Sunani ji can be reached at 09437657625
