Bhan Sahu has reached Sharda village in Pendri panchayat of Manpur block in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh where she meets Mr Nureti,Sarpanch who tells him that they don’t have road after so many years of independence. It is difficult to go to market, hospital and high school. It becomes more difficult in rains. Road was sanctioned in 2007 but work is still incomplete as case is in court. Bhan Sahu is visiting Adivasi Girls hostel in Kamthi village in Pandaria block of Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh where she meets Asha didi the warden of the hostel. She finds out that the warden is not only taking care of students who are in school but she also helps those children who wants to study but their parents are not sending them to school. She says often these kind of children are found in Baiga adivasi families. She tells stories of how some of such children have got well settled now. Asha didi@9981146050

Bhan Sahu is visiting Gond para in Kamthi village in Pandaria block of Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh where she meets members of Jai Ma Laxmi women self help group. They tell her the SHG was formed 15 years ago but they have not done much apart from depositing some amount monthly in the bank. They have no idea why the group was formed and what they can do with its help for their development. She says people from administration and others working on the field should give more support to such SHGs.

Bhan Sahu is visiting Tolum village in Manpur block of Rajnanadgaon district in Chhattisgarh where she meets Sarpanch ( village head) Jeevan Ram who tells her that more than 100 people worked under NREGA for deepening of pond in June 2015 but wages are still due for around 1.5 lakhs.
