Prakash Gupta from Ambikapur says 3 days back on 5th March I had reported about less and non payment in NREGA work in Batauli block of Surguja district. Today an officer from the district came to the panchayat to investigate and spoke to concerned laborers who told the officer that they have got wages at the rate of Rs 70 instead of Rs 100. Prakash Gupta in Bilaspur village of Batauli block of Surguja district is interviewing two laborers who have got wages of Rs 70 per day after working in NREGA when the wage rate was Rs 100 at that time which has now gone up.
