Dudhiram Jaiswal from village Chhapora of block Malkurd district Janjgir Champa says they only have Grameen bank in his villaeg. The headquarter of these banks are in Bilaspur and Raipur. The bank employees come to bank at 1.30 pm and leave at 3.30. This is causing problem to farmers and other villagers. They also harass us by asking us to come to bank many times, he says. Social activist Swami Agnivesh says when he tried to visit the villages in Dantewada in last few days where police has burnt houses, killed adivasis and raped women, he was stopped because govt wants to hide these crimes.
