We have 10 handpumps for 1500 people in 200 families but only 4 of them are working rest are broken from long. Villagers are suffering from water problem. In some places people have stored water in pits and are forced to drink from there say villagers from Kurkhetta village in Hunterganj block of Chatra district in Jharkhand to Rajesh Kumar. Ramjag Gond is calling from Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh and says 50 children are enrolled in adivasi boys hostel, Chandgiri under Kuakonda block. Some time back, hand pump got broken and children were suffering. They had to walk long distance to take bath and fetch drinking water. Then they reported it on Swara in March 2015 and after that hand pump got repaired.
