My district is filled with forest from all sides but if you go near the forest you will hardly find any transdition trees and they are filled with teak plantation. He alleges that Forest department is planting only commercial and foreign trees and destroying the diversity of our forests. Land rights cycle Yatra in Jaba block of Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh has today reached Champagarh village. 600 dalits and adivasis live in the village. In year 2000-01 some dalits and adivasis got land deeds from the Govt but no one has got the possession of the land. They are still in possession of powerful people. They have complained to authorities many times but nothing helps.An old man said he gets his pension after 6 months. Some old women said they never got any pension. My name is Ugan Bhuiyan. I live in Kendu village in Semaria block of Chatra district in Jharkhand. In my village maximum populations is of Dalits and there are few adivasi familes also. But all the men of dalit community are spending around 75% of their income in drinking. They spend very small amount on food and education of their family.
