Govt not serious about closing liquor shops in small villages
Kaladas Daharia from Chhattisgarh sharab virodhi manch says though government has made a law that they will not allow liquor shops in villages with less than 2000 population but he gives examples of villages where the rule is not followed. Police beats up labor for demanding minimum wage, puts in jail
Rajkumar Sahu of Pragatisheel Cement Shramik Sangh, Baloda Bajar Raipur says last week when he and his colleagues were distributing leaflets which contained information that Holcim multinational company is not giving minimum wages to its workers, police picked and beat them up. Policemen arrested for killing 3 adivasis in Salwa Judum camp
Himanshu Kumar says you may recall the killing of 3 adivasis in Matwada Salwa Judum camp on 18th March 2008. Police first said the killings was done by Maoists the widows were blaming the police on insistance of Maoists. Now police have arrested 3 policemen and sessions court has also denied them bail. We need to ask this question: where does our 85 paisa goes?

Police arrests people protesting company high-handedness...
Bhagirath Verma is speaking from Rawan village of Raipur district where police has arrested 5 villagers when they protested against high-handedness of a multinational cement company Holcim security staff. Mr Verma says villagers were protesting against non payment of minimum wages. When women got together to gherao the police station to protest an FIR against the villagers instead of the security staff, police arrested 5 men after inviting them to discuss.
