Lamtu Singh from Pushparajgarh tahsil of Anuppur district in Madhya Pradesh says he recently got a chance to visit some hilly areas nearby and saw adivasis doing Bewar ( shifting cultivation). They grow at least 21 variety of crops. He says earlier our ancestors grew all these crops but they got stopped by intervention of forest dept. Now they do daily labor and eat rice after buying.
