Kamal Sharma from Kanker in Chhattisgarh says to get deeds under Forest Rights Act many are cutting trees in protected areas. In a recent case a cousin of Forest Minister Mr Vikram Usendi has cut more than 5000 trees in 15 hectare area in the constituency of the minister Koelibeda. They also put fire in the forest after cutting the trees. Local villagers have complained but forest department is yet to take any action though they confirm the news of cutting of trees.
