Villagers catch Anganwadi worker selling food in black

Shankarlal from Lalitpur district in Uttar Pradesh is telling us that few alert villagers in his village caught the in-charge of local Anganwadi selling food meant for children and women to black marketeers. He says this anganwadi center was opened few months back and the in-change gave less food to children and women. Adivasi women stop govt survey team by force in Jharkhand

Subhash Gayali from Jharkhand is telling us about an incident today in Noamundi area of West Singhbhum district where village women stopped a govt survey team. The women asked the survey team whether they have permission to do survey from the Gram Sabha. When the survey team could not answer satisfactorily the team was physically stopped by the women’s team. Companies are cheating us, tells Jharkhand villagers...

Subhash Gayali is telling us about a one day token hunger strike in front of Raj Bhavan in Ranchi by villagers from East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. He says people said they wanted to protest on various breach of contracts by companies. They alleged that Uranium thrown by UCIL is affecting people’s lives but we are told that Uranium Corporation is under PMs office so state Govt can not help. Adivasis in Hazaribagh decides not to give land to company

Subash Gayali is in a village in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. He tells us that there a public hearing planned by a company on 4th of August to take land for an upcoming project. He talks to an adivasi villager who tells him that they have decided not to give any land to the company and they will oppose the public hearing.
