Chhattisgarh handicapped association is planning a dharna and rally demanding rights of handicapped people from all over the state on 25th January in Raipur. The dharna will start at 9 on Budha Talab and the rally to Mantralay will start at 1 pm.

CR Bakshi fram Raipur is reporting about a meeting today where release of Dr Binayak Sen and repeal of laws like Chhattisgarh Jan Suraksha Adhiniyam was demanded. Manju Thakur from Bilaspur is reporting about 3 more malaria deaths in villages nearby Bilaspur in last 2 days. She says it looks malaria deaths are not restricted to some areas of the district but it is the biggest problem in the district today. She says media has stopped reporting about it and are the authorities trying to suppress the news? Why people are dying due to an old disease like malaria and why the effect of malaria is so much this year, these things need to be investigated

CR Bakshi from Raipur says CPI, CPM, Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha and many peoples organisations have come together to organize a dharna in Raipur tomorrow to demand release of Dr Binayak Sen and repeal of CG vishesh Jan Surakhsa Adhiniyam. He says the decision against Dr Sen was influenced by police and was to make the state government happy and it was also to give a signal to every one who stands up against injustice that they will also face similar fate.
