Earlier there was no school so many could not study but now each children are studying but they can not go out beacause of lack of roads. Janardan Mahto from Ketulia village in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand says thanks to a coal mine in his village all the drinking water sources in the village have dried up. People need to walk 2/3 kms to fetch drinking water. River Damodam flows next to the village but access to the river has been closed by the mining company.
