Upcoming power plant wants to take over village common land
Bhan Sahu is reporting from a village in Rajnandgaon where work for a power plant is going on. The company has taken 300 acre of land but they now also want to take over a 20 acre common land of the village. Villagers use that land to make stone chips. Many families run their livelihood on that income. Company and state government is regularly harassing villagers and at the construction work also only few villagers have got any job

Illegal mining on forest land for Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna
Santosh Indwar from Kusmi area of Surguja district in Chhattisgarh is interviewing a villager who says in their village illegal stone mining on forest land is going on for two years. Illegally mined stone is being used in Pradhanmatri Gram Sadak Yojna. Villagers have complained to forest offcials but the contractors pay money to officers and the work once again starts. NREGA : Wages not paid from May 2010 in Rajnandgaon
Bhan Sahu is reporting from Atra village in Rajnandgaon where she speaks to a farmer Bir Singh Malekar who says we worked in NREGA in the month of May June last year and we have not been paid yet. We also did a hunger strike but the officials gave us a false promise. Thanks to non payment many from my village have migrated. Another batch is migrating this week. This is not only the story of my village. It is the story of whole panchayat and entire district. He also says it is said that the wage is Rs 100 but we get less after various deduction. 2 forest officials died of malaria but not in official records
Praful Chandel is sending details about death of two forest department officials due to malaria. He says because these two officials also went to a private hospital for their treatment where they died there is no mention of their death in official record. Praful asks if we do not know the exact number of deaths then how can we work to stop them next year? He says government took no precautionary measures in both the villages of forest officials which could have saved both the lives
