Lalita Roshan Lakra is visiting Nagri village near Ranchi in Jharkhand today where adivasi villagers are struggling to save their land from last 6 months. Government wants to take away the land to construct Indian Institute of Management there. She says the rain has come and people have a cheap tarpauline and sleeping under it also during the night in wet floor. She says in summer they sat here also during the day and one woman protestor died. Shankar Lal ji from Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh is telling us corruption by local health workers who are charging Rs 200-300 from poor adivasi pregnant women to make their cards. Adivasi women have not complained anywhere but when Shankar Lal ji asked the health workers they told him that they need to pass on money to their higher officials so they are helpless.
