Aparna Marandi from Giridih district of Jharkhand is demanding that Below Poverty Line survey be done again as more than 90% people are left in the new survey and the poorest of the poor are now not part of BPL. Lalita Roshan Lakra is visiting Nagri village near Ranchi in Jharkhand today where adivasi villagers are struggling to save their land from last 6 months. Government wants to take away the land to construct Indian Institute of Management there. She says the rain has come and people have a cheap tarpauline and sleeping under it also during the night in wet floor. She speaks to the headman of the village who tells her that many poor people have been left out in the new Below Poverty Line( BPL) survey. There is no drinking water and people are dying after drinking dirty water. They can not get treatment because they do not have money and there are no roads.
