40 of us worked under NREGA in 2011, big part of wages yet to be paid...
Tej Rai Painkra from Bisunpur village in Udaipur block of Surguja district of Chhattisgarh is telling that around 40 people from his village worked under NREGA in 2011 but they have got only part of the wages. They have been to many officers collectively and have tried available helplines but that has not resulted in anything positive yet. Applied for Forest Rights land in 2010, Applied again this year, No news yet
My name is Santosh Painkra. I am calling from Madanpur panchayat in Podi Uproda block of Korba district in Chhattisgarh. I had filled up for land deeds under Forest Rights Act. I have filled it up again in 2013. I make round of officials who tell me that they have sent our application to top officials but have not heard back. Traditional midwives facing problem of livelihood, Govt deals only with ASHA
Brijesh Singh from Rewa in MP is reporting live from a demonstration of traditional midwives (Dais) who say that earlier they used to get paid when they helped in delivery or brought pregnant women to hospitals. They were also trained by Govt but now Govt deals only with Asha (Accredited Social Health Activists ) and traditional midwives are not allowed inside hospitals and are facing a problem of livelihood. Farmer suicide after crop loss by wild animals, Govt calls it family dispute...
Brijesh Singh from Rewa in MP is telling about suicide of farmer Damni Singh Patel from village Renga Sandoh in Tyothar tahsil. The farmer had taken a loan of Rs 50,000 to farm in 17 acre of land but his crop was destroyed one night by a group of Nilgais. Govt is saying the suicide was due to family dispute.
