He is baffled that if Baiga adivasis capture any forest land and cut a single tree they are sent to jail but forest officials are not acting on this illegal work which is happening in broad daylight in front of them. My name is Santosh Painkra. I am calling from Madanpur panchayat in Podi Uproda block of Korba district in Chhattisgarh. I had filled up for land deeds under Forest Rights Act. I have filled it up again in 2013. I make round of officials who tell me that they have sent our application to top officials but have not heard back.
