Roopchand Dakhme from Ghati village in Kurkheda block of Gadchiroli district says in their village they have got Community Forest right of half the area they had demanded but even after that forest department tried to cut 1000 trees and have cut many. Mastram is visiting Mathurapur village in Jhansi district in Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh where a farmer Kalicharan tells him that their entire crops has destroyed in recent heavy rains. He says he has spent around Rs 90,000 on the crop and is not going to get back more than 10,000. No govt official has visited to assess the damage.
