Roopchand Dakhme from Ghati village in Kurkheda block of Gadchiroli district says in their village they have got Community Forest right of half the area they had demanded but even after that forest department tried to cut 1000 trees and have cut many. The village protested collectively and said under PESA act forest dept can not cut tree without Gram Sabha permission. He deamnds these forest officials should be punished.
