मैं नदी सूख रही हूँ ,
घुट घुट के जी रही हूँ ....2
वर्षा का पानी खेतों पर ,
बहा बहा के लाती थी !
और उनको मैं पानी का टैंक बनाती थी ...
कचड़ा वर्षों का बहा बहा ,
मै समुद्र में ले जाती थी !!
लाख करोडो जीवों को,
मैं स्नान कराती थी !!
बांध कर मैं बांध मजबूर हो रही हूँ ....
मैं नदी सुख रही हूँ,
घुट घुट के जी रही हूँ ...2
लाख करोडो पेंड पौधे,
जो मेरे किनारों में थे !
अरबों के हुए नष्ट वो भी ,
जो मेरे सहारों में थे !
मुझे काट कर खेत बनाये ,
मेरा स्वरुप बदले!
मैंने इनका क्या बिगाड़ा ,
जो मुझ पर रही नजरें !
मैं नदी सूख रही हूँ,
घुट घुट के जी रही हूँ
हर दिन की जरुरत पर मैं ,
पानी देती उनको !
पता नहीं की किस जन्म का बदला चुकाए मुझसे ,
मुझे नस्ट कर क्या पायें,
क्या कहूँ मैं इनसे !!

Surendra Hanspal is visiting a village called Bakhel 50 kms from Bhilai in Chhattisgarh where weekly haat is on and he meets Shiv Sahu who is selling sweets there. Shiv tells him that he is from Bareli in Uttar Pradesh and he has come this far because there is less competition here. Jan Satyagraha Samvad Yatra which started on 2nd Oct last year from Kanyakumari has now reached Gujarat state. Leader of the yatra Rajagopal ji is talking to some farmers in Valsad district who tells him that 15,000 people of 7 villages in Dharampura taluka are facing a submergnece threat due to an upcoming dam called Chas Mandwa which is part of river linking project. Surendra Hanspal is surprised to find a woman as coolie in Raipur railway station in Chhattisgarh. He finds out that there are two women coolies amongst many men. He speaks to one of them Paras who tells him that it is like any other normal job. She is happy that she can earn upto 300 rupees a day whereas in normal labor work she can not earn more than 100.
