Shortage of teachers in rural schools
Bhan Sahu is reporting from Mahul area in Rajnandgaon district where in the high school there are no teachers for Maths, Science and English. Students come from far off places to this school but there is no replacement for transferred teachers after 3 months of the start of the session. In Chichli villager there are only 2 teachers to teach the class 9 and 10. How can a single teacher handle all the subjects, she asks. It is not only these two villages it is the story of most of the rural villages

Mogra dam displaced assured of compensation by January
Bhan Sahu from Rajnandgaon is reporting that displaced families of Mogra dam are yet to be compensated for their inundated land. They gave an ultimatum of 2 weeks to the government but when there was no response they sat on a demonstration on the dam and tried to open the dam gates. Government has now assured them that the compensation will be paid by the month of January. Bhan says if the compensation is not paid by promised date then people have decided to start a hunger strike

First woman fist wrestler not allowed to talk to press
Bhan Sahu is reporting about situation of women in our society. Some time back she had sent a report about first woman Panja ( fist)wrestler from Chhattisgarh who has won quite a few awards. This time when she tried to get her interview for a video story, the girl was happy to talk but others did not allow her to speak. She says a woman who has done pioneering work in a new filed by being the first woman player but she is not allowed to talk about her work, this is the situation of women in our sociery

Women afraid to visit near CRPF camp in Kanker
Bhan Sahu reporting from Kanker says that women in Muski village in Durgkondal block is afraid to go to forest for collecting fire wood alone. There has been an incident of misbehavior with a woman in the past. Muski is the same village where there was an exchange of fires between CRPF and Naxals in August. She also talks about social activist Prakash Korram who was wrongfully implicated by the security forces in the same area. Now out of jail but Prakash needs to fight the case. It is becoming more difficult for social activists like Prakash to work in Bastar because police is framing them as Naxals she says

Rally in Kanker demanding improvement in NREGA and FRA
Bhan Sahu is reporting from Kanker that a rally was organised in Bhanupratappur area under the banner of Jan Van Adhikar Manch demanding better implementation of NREGA and Forest Rights act. Under NREGA people are not getting 100 days work and in FRA they are getting ownership for less land than what they are applying for. She reports that liquor mafia is misusing the permission given to tribals to brew liquor and there is a rally on 2nd October to protest that. Jan Van Adhikar manch is planning for a bigger rally in October to press for similar demands
