Kishor Mohanty is calling from Lathikata village, Dist Sundergarh, Odisha to tell that a hand pump was damaged in their village from more than a month. They had complained but no one responded. Then we have recorded a message in CGnet Swara on 3rd Nov regarding this and after 4 days the Junior Engineer came and repaired the hand-pump(tube well). Within a month it began to throw dirty water and we’ve been complaining on it but no one has responded. We need to go 2 km to fetch water which is a difficult task for women. Jagdish is calling from Bhausad village of Rewa district in MP and says report was made on Swara 20 days back about 4 hand pumps being broken in the village from 6 months. Following this PHE dept responded but only 1 hand pump is partially repaired now. Naresh Bunkar is calling from Rajak village of Bodhiya Panchayat, Lormi block, Mungeli district in Chhattisgarh and says villagers had reported on Swara about 2 broken hand pumps in the village on 6th November. After listeners pressurized the officers both the hand pumps have got repaired.
