Villagers in MP forced to drink dirty water, falling ill...
Saroj Paraste in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh today is visiting a village called Khirpani where people are suffering because of lack of water.The village has 150 houses and population of 700. They get one tanker a day that is not enough and they are used to use dirty water which is making many sick. The health facilities are at 17 kms away at block headquarter. Tribal girls facing neglect in hostel, complaints dont work
In Bishanpura Khandua village, 50 girls are studying in a tribal girls ashram. There is no arrangement for clean drinking and toilet water. Children are falling ill, and there is no medical aid available. In case of power failure, children have to manage in the dark. Saroj, the parent of a girl who studies in class one in the Ashram has complained in the parents teachers meeting, but no action has been taken. No immunization of children, pregnant women from a year
Saroj Paraste from Kundam block in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh is talking to a woman and an Asha health worker. Both of them are telling her that no immunization is going on in their area from last one year and children and pregnant women are suffering. Adivasi laborer loses hand in factory, gets no support
Saroj Paraste is interviewing an adivasi laborer Som Singh Tekam in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh whose right hand was cut while working on a cresher. Mr Tekam says he worked in the factory for 17 years but the factory owner has not given him any support and he has not got any help from Govt.
