Kripanath Yadav from Amelia, Singrauli MP says a Gram Sabha is to be conducted in their village next week to decide whether they would like mining to come to the area but alleges that police is harassing people. Earlier a Gram Sabha was conducted in 2013 where people had rejected the mining but govt officials had staged a fraud gramsabha. People say this is a 5th schedule area and Govt can’t take any land without permission of Gram Sabha which has rejected the offer.
