Padmalochan Varma today is standing at Govt hospital in Khariar in Nuapada district of Odisha. He says though people from 3 districts of Nuapada, Bolangir and Kalahandi depends on this hospital it has very little facilities. The specialist doctors have got transferred and no one has replaced them. He is talking to a patient who tells him that he witnessed a delivery on floor where husband was holding the saline water in absense of any medical staff, another patient died according to him due to negligence. Anju tells her that though health workers visit other anganwadi centers every month but two anganwadi centers in their area are visited one in 3 months and for that reason children, pregnant women are suffering.
