Children suffering from unknown disease in Odisha village

Khuturam Sunani from Nuapada district of Odisha is telling us about a mysterious disease in a village where 39 children between the age of 2 and 12 are suffering. A medical team visited the village today but could not make out about the disease. The children are weak, they are having dyscentry and are not eating. There are some malaria patients are also there. Schools conduct entrance test flouting Right to Education!

Khuturam Sunani from Nuapada district of Odisha says Govt had issued a circular that according to Right to Education law there will not be any entrance test in school admission but Govt run Eklavya and Navodaya schools have flouted that rule which has harmed poor students. NREGA workers union exposes corruption but no action

Gannuram Netam from Narharpur block of Kanker district in Chhattisgarh says recently NREGA workers union has exposed a corruption in NREGA with the help of RTI and officials were suspended. But the suspended officials are still continuing in the same post and administration does not seem to be keen to remove them. Gondi message : Villgers rally demanding PDS in Abujhmaad

Pramod Potai from Narayanpur district in Chhattisgarh is telling us about a protest demonstration by hundreds of adivasis of Abujhmad area who were demanding proper distribution of subsidized ration. Villagers reject Bodhghat hydel power project plans

A 50 mw hydro power station has again been proposed at Bodhghat by Ramsey company from Hyderabad and some preliminary steps were taken. But 42 villages had meetings of their gram panchayats and have decided that this power project would destroy their water, forest and land.
