Govt has restricted PDS distribution only from police stations in the area and people need to walk 40-50 kms to buy their subsidized ration. A 50 mw hydro power station has again been proposed at Bodhghat by Ramsey company from Hyderabad and some preliminary steps were taken. But 42 villages had meetings of their gram panchayats and have decided that this power project would destroy their water, forest and land.
