No handpump in adivasi village, drink dirty water from stream, pls call officer...
Naresh Bunkar is visiting Piparkachhar village under Dalamahua panchayat in Pandariya block of Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh and talking to villagers who tell him that more than 25 Baiga Adivasi families live here but they don’t have handpump. They are forced to drink dirty water from nullah and falling ill. This was complained to officials many times but no action has been taken. They are requesting for handpump. Impact: Got compensation 3 days after Swara report,was waiting for 9 months...
Chandmani Shandil is calling Nagratola village under Lathiketa panchayat and block of Sundergarh district in Odisha and talking to Dhuni Shandil who tells her in Mundari language that elephants broke her home and ate grains in August 2014. They gave all documents but got no compensation. They recorded a message on CGNet Swara on 8th June 2015 and she got Rs 10,000 as compensation for grain loss within 3 days.
