Koya(Gond) tribals from Chhattisgarh not given tribal certificate in Telangana...
Harish is calling from Sundranagar village, Janampeta panchayat, Pinpaka mandal in Telangana state. He says they came to Telangana ( earlier Andhra Pradesh) many years ago but Govt there does not give Schedule Tribe certificate to Koya ( Gond) tribals from Chhattisgarh. For this reason they are not able to get a deed for the land they have made. Education of children is getting hampered. Live report of protest in Maharashtra against dam at border with Telangana...
Lalsu Nogoti is reporting from Medighatta- Pochampalli dam site where Chief Minister K C Rao of Telangana is starting work of the dam and local people are protesting. They say 16,000 farmers will loose their land if dam comes up but no rehabilitation work has started. People are showing black flags saying they have not been discussed and Govt is behaving like an autocrat to push this dam which will inundate 4-6000 hectare of land. We came from Chhattisgarh to Telangana 20 years ago,No ration cards yet...
Govind Pandro has reached Jagaram village under Pengadpa panchayat in Kottagudem tehsil of Khammam in Telangana where villagers tell him that 23 Adivasi families live here who came from different regions of Chhattisgarh more than 20 year ago but more than 15 of them don’t have ration card till date.
