Ashish Yadav Secretary Bailadila Mine workers union in Dantewada Chhattisgarh says National Mineral Development corporation is cheating its non-permanent workers. They are around 500 of them and are mostly local adivasis. They get no details of their Provident Fund. Some get work for few weeks and then get retrenched. Ashish Sagar Dixit from Banda in Uttar Pradesh is telling us that earlier High Court had put a ban on loan recovery from farmers citing bad situation of agriculture. But recently Supreme Court has vacated that stay and in a public hearing yesterday district collector behaved very badly and asked farmers to pay back.
