देखो सारी दुनिया में लोग गिरा रहे हैं सरकारों को
अगर राजा सुधर जाते
तो क्या हम लोकतंत्र नहीं लाते ?
अगर सरकार सुधर जाए
तो भी क्या अपने सिर पर
कुछ लोगों के गिरोह को बिठाये रखने को तैयार हो तुम ?

हमें मालूम था ,
राजा कितना भी अच्छा हो ,
लेकिन उसके सामने हमारी औकात कुछ भी नहीं !
इसलिए बराबरी की हमारी चाह ने मिटाया
राजा के अस्तित्व को !

सरकार भी प्रश्न है
व्यक्ति और समाज की शक्ति और सामर्थ्य पर !
क्या तुम्हारा घर सरकार चलाती है ?
क्या तुम्हारा गाँव सरकार चलाती है?
तुम्हारा विकास
तुम्हारी रक्षा
सबकुछ तो तुम खुद करते हो
समाज में परस्पर मिल कर
सोचो सरकार पर कितना
कम निर्भर है जीवन !

सोचो आज
शायद कल की पीढी इस पर अमल करे
और वो मुक्त हो सभी बाहरी
बंधन से
पर पहले मन का बंधन टूटना ज़रूरी है !

ये सरकार बंधुआ है
भक्षक है
गरीब की
रक्षक है
सबलों की
ये जरिया है मेहनत की लूट को
क़ानून बना देने की !

किस किसान को
किस मजूर को
किस गरीब को
किस निर्बल को
दिला दिया उसका हक
सरकार ने !
गरीब को नहीं चाहिए कोई सरकार
आज तक कोई सरकार गरीब की नहीं बनी

सरकार चाहिए सेठों को
मेहनत को लूट कर बन बैठे धन्ना सेठों को !
बिन मेहनत के मज़ा लूटते साहबों को

और शहरी मध्यम वर्ग को

तो तुम क्यों इतना डरते हो ?
सरकार नहीं रहने की कल्पना से ही ?
सरकार नहीं रहेगी
तो क्या समाज नहीं रहेगा ?
व्यक्ति नहीं रहेगा ?

नहीं रहेगा तो बस लुटेरों की रक्षक
पुलिस नहीं रहेगी
रिश्वत के पैसे से चुनाव जीत कर
फिर से रिश्वत लेकर
उसकी ज़मीन और उसका जीवन बेचने वाले
राजनीतीज्ञ नहीं रहेंगे

तुम इनकी चिता में क्यों इतना व्याकुल हों
सरकार विहीन समाज
नए युग की मांग है

साफ़ नहीं है अभी विकल्प
पर निकल आयेगा रास्ता
सरकार बिन समाज का

Kailash Meena has been fighting against illegal mining in his village in Rajasthan for long in Gandhian ways with support from local people. Himanshu Kumar is telling us about release of veteran adivasi leader Sukul Prasad Nag from a jail in Dantewada. Mr Nag is a leader of Adivasi Mahasabha and he was arrested in Nov 2010 allegedly to foil a rally organised by them. Manoj Kumar from Kota in Rajasthan says there are lots of stone quarries in my area and there are many groups which raise the issue of mining. But there is no one to raise the issue of post mining. Once the mining is over they leave the area as it is and the area remains unuseful for agriculture.
