Impact: Stalled water project from 5 years starts month after Swara report...
Rajendra Prasad Tiwari is calling from Latar village in Jaitahari block in Anuppur district in Madhya Pradesh to say thanks. Pipe lines for drinking water was dug in their village in 2008-09 but they never got any water. We have problems like road, drinking water but what we need most is toilets
Rajendra Vamankar from Patakheda village in Betul district in Madhya Pradesh is speaking in Gondi language to say that his adivasi village has many problems like road and drinking water but what he needs most is toilets. Govt had promised toilets under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan but nothing has happened. Forest dept uprooted 5000 fruit bearing saplings planted by Adivasis in MP...
Rajendra Gadwal from Betul district in MP is telling us that today in Sarni forest range adivasis were trying to plant fruit bearing saplings but forest dept uprooted 5000 of them by force. 6 adivasis were injured in beatings by forest dept and adivasi were not allowed to move for 4 hours and were released only in evening. Death of adivasi after beating from forest officials: No action after a week...
Rajendra Gadwal from Betul in Madhya Pradesh is telling us that when adivasis were trying to plant fruit bearing trees in forest they were badly beaten up by forest officials on 28th July and on 11th August one of them Bisan died. They gheraoed local police station but authorities are yet to punish culprits. He says as per law Govt should be giving deeds for these lands but they beating and killing adivasis.
