Yadav caste dominated panchayat of that village has expelled 45 adivasis of 6 families from the village and they are forced to live on their farmland 5 kms from the village after digging a well and making temporary houses. Bhan Sahu is visiting a group of 230 adivasis in Uttar Pradesh who for a change do not have any problem from forest department officials. She tells us that whichever state I go to adivasis are getting evicted from forest and they are not able to do farming on the land they should get land deeds for. But here she meets an adivasi who tells her that they got organised under National forestdweller and forest workers organisation and thanks to their unity no official ever harasses them and they have also filled the forms to get deeds for the land they are cultivating.
